A Cornish hedge is an earth or subsoil bank faced up each side with stone. We have used our skills on a variety of schemes such as road improvements, housing development, pipelines, windfarms, schools, the Eden Project, Hampton Court and Chelsea Flower Show, commercial developments etc.
Why are they called "hedges" and not "walls"? Because they are living things. Part of a hedge is the vegetation that grows on it, this can be grass, flowers or trees. Stone hedges are enviromentally friendly and are a host for reptiles, small mammals, moths, butterflies and bees and also provide a home for many nesting birds.
